About Melhor Viver Mais

Health that fits your busy life.

Luana, author of Melhor Viver Mais

Hi, I am Luana. I am 37, I was born in Pedro Velho, a small town in Rio Grande do Norte, in northeastern Brazil, and today I live in Portugal. I have been married for 10 years and I have 3 children.

Nobody prepared me for adult life. Nobody explained how to plan the week for a whole household, how to organize the pantry so food does not go to waste, or how to make the routine work without forgetting about myself along the way. I learned the hard way, making mistakes, adjusting and trying again. Melhor Viver Mais was born from that learning.

What you will find here

The tips on the blog come from my experience running a home and from the planning I do to take care of the people I love without losing myself. All content is researched, reviewed and often lived by me before it reaches you. When I have not lived a situation, I research it in depth, use reliable sources and make that clear in the text.

There is no perfect formula here and no promise of a flawless life. There is what worked in practice, explained simply, for people with little time and a lot to sort out.

About the products I recommend

Most of my readers are in Brazil, and that is the reality I have in mind when choosing what to recommend, which is why product recommendations only appear in the Portuguese version of the blog. I have not tested everything at home, because some products do not make sense for my context. One example is the water filter: here in Portugal I drink straight from the tap without any problem, but in many places in Brazil that is not possible, which is why it has a place on the blog.

So each recommendation goes through one of these paths:

  • Products I have tested myself: I share what my experience was like.
  • Products I have not tested: I research them in depth and talk to people close to me who use them every day, especially families in which every adult works outside the home, a very common routine today and different from mine.

Whatever the path, I use the same five criteria, in this order:

  1. Is it easy to use on a busy day?
  2. Does it really save time?
  3. Does it fit the family budget?
  4. Does it last long enough to be worth the investment?
  5. Can you learn to use it without a struggle?

If a product does not really solve the problem, it does not go in, even if it pays a good commission.

Some links in the Portuguese version of the site are affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps keep the blog running, and these links are always clearly identified.

What I believe in

I want you to have a healthy life so you can enjoy the people you love. Health does not have to be a sacrifice or a lifelong project. It can fit into your busy life, one small adjustment at a time.
